I have Questions, you may have answers, come and ask and be profound.

How does one die to Sin? Sin leads to death how is it one can die from that which leads us to death? I sin, I'll be the first to admit it. I have horrible thoughts and I have an apathetic attitude towards sin most of the time. Sure I'd like to not sin and be able to wake up in the morning with no regrets, but is it possible. Or is that even what happens. We are to die, but what does that mean?

curious,
I believe your real issue is with guilt. I suggest making peace with yourself and examine the sources of your guilt.

Are you Catholic. Seems that the guilty always are.

If we're born in God's image, then God knows how we can fuck up. And he knows that you really didn't mean it.

Tom Petty said that and it brings me a lot of comfort. If you let it, it will for you too.

Great questions. I would say one dies to sin by turning to God. Sin entered thru the world thru Adam and forgiveness of sin entered thru Jesus. Biblically speaking sin is always connected to the flesh and everlasting life is connected to the spirit.

According to the scriptures God says whatever a man sows he reaps. If he sows fleshly things he shall reap corruption. But he that sows spiritually things shall reap everlasting life. So it's pretty simple.

How do you define sin?

Sin is anything that takes us further away from God. All our sin separates us from him. That's why Christ said on the cross "MY God My God why have you forsaken me?" As he carried the sin of the world on his head, he felt every moment of it.

He felt that separation as we all do when we have unconfessed sin in our lives.
